What's behind a concrete diagnosis

Everyday we have a lot of works to do in NR.

Our company can perform diagnosis of old concrete buildings, from the city's government. Some of those were built 40 years ago.

City office, elementary school, public hall, etc.

It's so interesting to check these buildings, that have been used for such completely different purposes. We need to pick the core out from each wall. Then we must repair the core holes, as soon as possible.

One building's  interior room was covered with wallpaper. Then I cut it carefully.

Used a new razor blade. Attached to it a steel ruler. And stop my breath. So I cut it off. After, the core sample was took off safely. The holes have been filled by shrinkage-compensating mortar.

At last, I fixed the wallpaper with an expert glue. However there are a lot of works like this. And this is interesting for me.

Takema Futami from NR labo.
