Neither 1 drop: concrete mixer/plant washing without using water

Until now we always tought that the only way to clean concrete mixer's drums and concrete plants was by using plenty of water.

But now we are ready to start this project, avoiding the usage of water and filter press without producing any waste (sludge, etc.).

First of all I'd like to introduce you this video:

It was taken in Norway, where they started this project.

These are samples if the water coming from the dry drum washing. As you can see they are very clean, ready to be re-use for new concrete batches.

Usually, at the end of the day a lot water is needed to clean every truck.

But in this case, Re-Con Zero Part A polymer and about 2 tons of recycled aggregates are inserted into the mixer and used to clean it, by rotating the drum.

Without water.

By using water we produce also a lot of sludge, an expensive waste.

So, by dry washing we avoid sludge production and we won't need any special equipment such as trommel and filter press.

Last year in Paris, at the Intermat exposition, we still saw quite a lot stands with these kind of equipment.

But the world is changing and so the concrete industry is.

We hope to be with the ones that lead this change!
